Jefferson and his partner, the YouTube star Megan Oxtoby, have announced their engagement amid the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.
Jefferson revealed the incredible news on social media last night after he popped the question during the lockdown in Spain, where he was performing his solo concert 'An Evening with Jefferson Parlett' at the Hotel Yaramar, in Fuengirola, Costa del Sol.
Sharing this photo of the pair on Instagram and Facebook, Jefferson wrote: “I never thought this day would ever come or even ever happen to me... but today, I asked my best friend to marry me... and she said yes! Thank you for making me the most happiest man alive".
Their engagement news comes just days after Spain announced that it will be sealing it's borders, meaning Jefferson's production was shut down to halt the spread of coronavirus.
A statement released on Jefferson's social media read: “Due to the severity of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak here in Spain, it is with great sadness that our contract has ended earlier than expected and we have no choice but to return home." He later went on to write that “When one door closes, another opens. My better half agreed to marry me this week and discussions are already underway for a possible return, all being well, later this year. In the meantime, stay safe everyone x"
Huge congratulations to the perfect couple!
